Insurmountable Wall of Death?

When it comes to fat loss and fitness, it can seem like you are climbing an endless wall of death.  Or maybe I should say endless wall of blubbery frustration.

President Bill Clinton said it best when he said “I feel your pain.”

The thought of achieving your goals, whether it be fitness & fat loss (or whatever life your goal you might have) can seem insurmountable. 

Well it is surmountable.  Way surmountable.  But the path can be long, uphill and not well marked.  Plus there might be pain involved. But no one expects you to do it alone.

Tough to Swallow

WARNING:  The following post is a bit on the rant side. 

I am  going to say something that is going to piss a lot of people off. And I’ll probably get tons of emails, but I don’t care.  I am passionate about this.

Here it is:  Gastric bypass is a tool of the weak.

Ok, maybe not all the time, but *WAY* too much of the time.  I will concede that there are people out there that have two options; either go under the knife or under the ground. Those people are not as plentiful as some would have you believe.

Barbara – is that you?

I just read a post by my colleague and nutritional guru Jonny Bowden.  He wrote a piece (with accompanying video) on what he calls the Barbara Bush Syndrome.

Let me Cliff Note it here for you:

For the historically impaired,  before President George W. Bush, his daddy was our president – George H. W. Bush.  And our first lady was his wife, Barbara Bush.

Well the the powers that be behind the powers that be believed the first lady had an image issue.  For one thing she looked significantly older than the president, appearing more like his mother than his wife.  And as we all know, image is all that any cares about right?
