Hey Jackie, Nice Butt!

Written by results on August 31st, 2009

Jackie has been working out with me for 4 weeks.  She is part of an ultra super uber top secret training program that I have been conducting.  I literally have been sworn to secrecy.  I am risking my life even mentioning it, but this story has to be told…

Jackie, along with 13 others have agreed to have their bodies transformed  over the course of a six week previously mentioned hush hush program.

I can’t talk about the training involved, or even the diet for that matter- but I will tell you the results have been outstanding.  When I can talk about it without penalty  – I will.

Jackie had a goal when she set out, as most of the participants did.  I have stressed in many of my prior posts how absolutely imperative it is to have a goal.

But in case you missed those previous articles , let me boil it down for you….

ALWAYS HAVE A GOAL.

goals

Her 6 week goal was simple:  fit in some previously purchased jeans.

I asked her to tell me why these jeans were her goal and this is what she said:

“Back in 2006, I lost 30 pounds. I spent more money on those jeans than I ever had on ANY article of clothing.

Third kid comes along, I stop exercising, start picking at their food… you know the rest.”

Well guess what, on Friday of week 4 (of 6) Jackie fit into her jeans- A full 2 weeks ahead of schedule.

“Friday night, my hubby surprised me with tickets to my favorite musician playing in Hollywood.

For the first time in 18 months, I wore THE JEANS.”

Hey Jackie, Nice Butt!

I think my caption sums it up nicely.

And she isn’t even done yet!  She looks amazing and will only look better in another 2 weeks.

So here is my advice to you:  Make it real and make it known.  Jackie was not shy in letting everyone know that no matter what she would be getting back into those jeans (since apparently she had to raid her children’s college fund to get them.) By telling others it helps keep you accountable.

You must set clear and definable goals.

And put a reward system in place as well.  Jackie’s jeans served both purposes – they were both her goal and her reward.

Another participant has a goal of losing 15 pounds in the 6 weeks and if she hits it she will be treating herself to a full spa day.  Now that’s a reward.

(You should all feel free to reward your trainer too – I’m just saying…)

When you have a destination set, the path will reveal itself.  So goals like “ I want to drop a few pounds” are bullsh^t, and not really a goal at all.  Wishy washy crap like that will never lead to success. Make it real:  X pounds, X inches, X dress sizes – whatever.  Set it and get it.

FYI- This doesn’t just apply to health and fitness goals.

Now, back to Jackie’s backside.  It didn’t fit back into those jeans by accident.  It happened completely by design and desire.

She has what it takes and so do you.

PS: It took all my will power to not call this post “Hey Jackie, Nice A$$”. I feel it is important to recognize this impressive showing of restraint.
