I Was Right All Along (low carb validation)

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

iamrightIt’s always nice when studies backup what many of us already know to be true from years in the trenches of real world work.

And it’s nice to say “suck it” to the disbelievers out there.

Over the years there have been several smaller similar studies, but this is the largest and longest term study of its kind to date.  Here’s the deal: Test subjects were split into 3 diet groups, a low fat diet, a low carb diet and a Mediterranean diet.

The Wall Street Journal sums it up quite nicely:

I need your help ASAP

Friday, January 21st, 2011

SueSylvester-GleeOk gang, I have a bit of a conundrum and I need YOUR help…

Here’s the deal:  The good news is  I have 2 new weight loss / fat burning programs ready to go. The even better news is I have been approached by a renowned international marketer (no joke) who wants to work with me to make one of these programs  the  “next big thing”.

(But he wants current before and after case studies to prove how well the programs work.)

The problem is they are like my children and I love them both equally, but I can can only choose one program to promote.

Die Fat or Get Tough

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

I like to be direct.  In all likelihood if you ask my opinion you’ll get it.  I find that it is just MUCH easier to get my point across if I do not have to soften it up with fluffy bullsh*t.  I also find it refreshing when people are direct with me.  Even if I do not like the message, at least they have the guts to be direct.  (then I punch them)

SarcasmMeter I also pepper my directness with a hefty dose of sarcasm.  Many have told me that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.  I might argue that point, but I also argue that it is also the funniest.  So funny, but direct.

I Discovered Faster Fat Loss

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

wc_flush_toilet_tshirt-p235140987162130122uwjq_400 Hey gang,

I’m not sure if you have noticed, but I have been quiet (email wise) of late.  That’s because I have been working on a bunch of super-secret projects.  2 projects are for other trainers, to help them get better results with their clients (ala my 6 week transformation.)

I have a MASSIVE project I can’t tell you about yet BUT…

ONE thing I have been working on is just for you.

Now you know me, never satisfied (insert “that’s what she said” joke.)  So I am always tweaking and testing to try to get better results.

Hard Questions

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

why

You’d think with that title I’d come back with something like  “That’s what she said”, but no, not today.  (although it does make me snicker a bit)

I am taking these post directly from my friend Turbulence Training guru Craig Ballantyne, who recently posted these questions that really got me thinking. Maybe they will get you thinking too…

  • Why do you continue to make short term decisions that ruin your chances of long-term success?
  • Why do you continue to eat junk when you want to lose fat?

Hey Jackie, Nice Butt!

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Jackie has been working out with me for 4 weeks.  She is part of an ultra super uber top secret training program that I have been conducting.  I literally have been sworn to secrecy.  I am risking my life even mentioning it, but this story has to be told…

Jackie, along with 13 others have agreed to have their bodies transformed  over the course of a six week previously mentioned hush hush program.

I can’t talk about the training involved, or even the diet for that matter- but I will tell you the results have been outstanding.  When I can talk about it without penalty  – I will.

How I ate ice cream, pizza, burger, fries, chips, pretzels, cookies, a McFlurry and a box of Life cereal and still lost 5 lbs this week.

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Yes it’s true.

I ate all that crap. I cheated big time. And I’ll do it again.

food
Actually that’s pretty close…

All that junk food found its way down my pie hole and yet somehow I still lost 5 lbs this week.

How? Easy.  It’s all in the timing.

I have a single cheat day: Saturday.  I  eat whatever I want, however much I want.  When Sunday rolls around I am done with the binge buffet (kidding) and I’m back on the plan. It is really that simple.

Too Funny.

Low Cal Losers

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

So I read somewhere that this week the Today Show was going to do a feature on popular diets.  I set my DVR so I would be sure not to miss it.

There were 3 segments, and you can watch them online at the Today Show Website. I will not go into full detail on each of the 3 segments, but basically it went like this:  3 women all in their 30′s, all around 180lbs and all wanting to lose around 20 lbs.  They each had a specific “goal” weight – but I am not sure how that was determined.

28 Days Later….and counting

Friday, February 15th, 2008

For those of you just tuning in, this is the continuing saga of the V-Diet.  You can read first entry here.

28days[1]

This will just server to really wrap things up for the first 28 days, and give you an idea of how the 2 others working with me directly did on the diet.

Ken, as predicted did very well up into the last week. This was due to no fault of his own. Like a trooper he stayed on course, didn’t miss a meal or a workout.
