It’s not what you think…I wanted to introduce you to my friend and female fat loss over 40 expert, Shawna K.

I interviewed her when we were in Las Vegas (working , I swear) and she shares her top three tips on what women over 40 need to consider when trying to get in the best shape of their life.

I find it interesting that we tend to agree on many things, no matter what your age, some fitness and fat loss principles apply.

What’s your excuse? (a brief note to whiners)

I have a client named Sam. He is in his late 50’s and has been working out for around 2 ½ months. In that time he last lost over 40 pounds and hasn’t looked or felt so good in years (his words.)

FictionThere are many things is life that can be reduced to either fiction or fact.

Here is an example of fiction:  It is too late for you to change your body and your health because you are (pick any) too old, too tired, too busy, too many kids, work weird hours, too much of a giant wuss etc.

factBut here is a truth:  Nothing is more powerful than the human mind.  If you believe it, you can make it happen.  I have seen it more times than I can count.

And to that end I say be the pig.

Most of the time, when I get quoted it comes back and bites me in the ass.

Things like:  “I’ll have the house clean by the time you get back”

or

“Sure, I’ll keep an eye on the boys boys – no problem.”

Yeah, sometimes being quoted sucks.

But there are others much more profound than myself who are actually worth quoting.

Quotes can serve to inspire and motivate.  To make you move out of your comfort zone and into a personal success zone.
